If you’re like me and have been dying to see more of The Foggy Pearl in Hancock, Maine, here’s a little glimpse inside this beautiful and incredibly unique wedding venue. I recently had my first opportunity to photograph a wedding at The Foggy Pearl, and it’s unlike anywhere else I’ve photographed along the Maine coast.
The property began as a working lobster pound in the 1940s, and much of that history and character has been thoughtfully preserved as it has evolved into a wedding and gathering space. Set along the rocky Downeast shoreline, with old waterfront buildings, wooded paths, boardwalks, an island house, and views toward Mount Desert Island, it feels distinctly and authentically Maine.
Here are a few favorite images from my first wedding day at The Foggy Pearl.
